The food at Funa is very good, but be advised that if you pay by credit card, the staff do not get the service charge, so that make you think twice about visiting.
Called early doors and we were greeted and seated straight away. Service was very friendly and the food was divine as always A pint of Peroni at £7 ish was a bit steep.though
Such a lovely warm welcome from all the staff, made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was lively, food was great. The scallops special starter was delicious. Main courses were generous and well cooked. Had a lovely evening with excellent hospitality. Thank you to everyone...at Fina for a very enjoyable night out.More
Ate here two days in a row on a recent trip to Macclesfield. Food was delicious, view is gorgeous, and staff were amazing. I am still thinking about the risotto frutti di mare months later.
This was our first ever visit and we were truly blown away. The food was simply fantastic, freshly prepared, quickly cooked and divine! Excellent value for money and by far the best Italian food we’ve ever had. Staff members were lovely, especially the gentleman I...believe may be the manager and the blonde young lady. My partner and I are saddened that we don’t live locally but will without a doubt return in a heartbeat if we’re in the area again!More
I booked a table for dinner on Saturday night with my husband. We have eaten at Fina a number of times before and been very pleased with the food and service. We won't be rushing back after last night though. It was more like an...inexpensive chain pub than a 'fine dining' restaurant. It was extremely noisy, impossible to have a conversation across our table. Diners at one table were singing loudly. The staff asked them to be quiet but the whole experience had been ruined by then. When we left the restaurant my ears were ringing. After looking forward to a nice evening where we could enjoy a lovely meal and catch up after a very busy week, it was a thoroughly miserable experience. Despite the excellent food, we won't be going back.More
Hi Colette, I normally wouldn’t respond to the reviews, but since you went out of your way to put a review on here and on Google I thought you would like a response back. I just wish that you would put your reviews on every...More
This is the best Italian food found in northern England. The pens arribiatta more than delivered the spice I’ve longed for and the staff were amazing!
As soon as we entered I was excited to eat here. Its beautiful decor and friendly staff make it very welcoming. The menu was so extensive and it all sounded delicious, was difficult to choose! The garlic bread was so fluffy and perfectly baked, could...tell it was home made. Perfect amount of garlic in mushrooms on bruscetta too! Steaks all perfectly cooked and tasted awesome. Can't wait to come back again soon!More
Fina had always been our family favourite, our go to place in macclesfield for birthdays and celebrations. Let’s start with the positives, the service was fantastic and the venue was , as always beautiful. The food however was a huge disappointment , The rib starter...was extremely poor, a bowl of bones with the occasional morsel of meat, if you looked hard enough. The fishcake starter was bland and tasteless. The 2pasta mains were lacking one essential ingredient FLAVOUR, there simply was none, the side of cheese garlic bread , usually perfect, was gritty and barely edible, Add to this the over priced alcohol, we left extremely disappointed. Macclesfield has a host of new and exciting eateries, this is not the time to let your standards slip to such low levels Fina. I very much doubt we will returnMore
Visited as a group of friends, food great, good service and lovely atmosphere. When the bill came service charge was added, we asked for it to be removed explaining we wanted to tip separately, the restaurant manager then became very rude and unpleasant/unprofessional, arguing about...us being told in advance the service charge was because there were more than 6 of us (not true, we had email proof) he continued to be quite aggressive and offensive to each of us as we paid. We had had every intention of leaving a generous tip, after the way we were treated we left a much smaller one, which he tried to shove back at us. His parting shot ‘don’t come back’. Such a shame as the rest of the staff were lovely. Safe to say we won’t be returningMore
We try and go to Fina once every month as the service is incredible and we have never had a bad meal. I either have the T Bone steak or the Filetto Rossini and it is always cooked to perfection. The portion sizes are very...good value for money and the whole restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The staff can't do enough for you and make it hard to want to go anywhere else. We will definitely see you guys soon!More
Such delicious food and comprehensive menu. Great portion sizes, friendly staff and clean, smart interior - what’s not to love!!
Fish overcooked, broccoli cold & water logged. Overall, not impressed, chef said he’ll cook the fish better next time! halibut is supposed to be the king of fish, this restaurant spoiled that myth!
Although not particular to this resteraunt the usual placing of two people in the centre or on the fringes of the room to maintain premium tables when the resteraunt clearly has lots of space applies Food was good but well overpriced for what it was...others may disagree but £6 approx for what essentially was chopped tomatoes on toast and £15 for pasta with sauce, Pretentious it is not in Venice.More
