Had a bountiful roast beef dinner, which was delicious and worth every penny; served by the very friendly and hospitable Kirsty. The beer was excellent too.

My family and I decided to revisit this pub for the first time since it re-opened under new management and were throughly pleased with the experience. On entering, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The beer was very good as was the service. There is dart boards, function room for hire, pool table, beer garden and they have a... More

This is a pub that has a very checkered history, But over the last year, Wes and Emma have turned it into a very fine local, The only two bar pub in Ilfracombe it offers excellent value through a good range of well kept cask ales and lagers. Consistency of staff has made for a good feeling and Sam and... More

Excellent friendly staff. Sat out in beer garden and was kept refreshed by a young enthusiastic waiter. Drink tasted good and was reasonably priced

Really friendly pub. The owners are really nice and spoilt our dog with biscuits. The garden at the back is lovely - lots of tables and chairs all beautifully clean. Only thing missing is food which they are going to do or I would have given it 5 stars.

We visited Ilfracombe to check out the shops on a rainy day. After visiting the shops we popped into the Wellington Arms for a drink. The Cheltenham Festival was on their television and the atmosphere with the locals was brilliant. They had all put together to put a large bet on and the tension was incredible. The price of the... Popped into the Wellington whilst looking for somewhere to get a Sunday lunch. Unfortunately the landlord had only been there a couple of weeks and he was still "feeling his way around". Having said that he was a very pleasant and polite guy and you got the feeling that once he was in the swing he would do okay.

The Sunday carvery is always scrummy and very popular. We've eaten here other times and always had great food including some very nice steaks. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming and happy to cater for different dietary requirements whenever possible. There's a lovely local ale, Tom's Tipple, and a wonderful beer garden for the summer and an open fire inside... More
