Went here on our visit to Ilfracombe as we wanted proper seaside fish and chips and weren't disappointed. The chips were amazing and the fish was cooked well wish a really nice batter. Only slight downfall was it seemed a tad bit expensive for what it was but can't fault the food quality at all.

popped in for some takeaway chips and garlic mushrooms, chips were great but the mushrooms weren't garlic mushrooms even though it said that on menu. My friend used the toilet and was not impressed considering it was an eat in restaurant as well, it smelt and only 1 toilet. Good prices, but we did go in march think all the... More

Visited recently with mu husband and two young boys, (families welcome). Had a delicious fishermans special. The staff were all very friendly, efficient and helpful. Toilets and the restaurant were clean too. All round, a nice place for lunch.

Came here for a takeaway at 7.40pm. The restaurant was ready to close however we were welcomed in to have our order taken. My boyfriend ordered fish, chips and curry sauce and I ordered cheesey chips and a battered sausage. I felt the staff were very friendly and when he explained that there where no jumbo sausages left, he did... More

We visited the Ilfracombe Fryer twice during a holiday based in neighbouring Woolacombe, and on both occasions found the food to be delicious. Chips are dry, crisp and perfectly sized, fish was skinned, lightly battered and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient, and waitress service was speedy. We were also encouraged to fund that food was cooked to... More

These have got to be the best fish and chips in the area, ended up going back the next day as they were so yummy. Can eat in their very clean and tidy restaurant or takeaway and eat them on the seafront which we chose to do the second time, why do they always taste so much nicer by the... More
