This is a warm welcoming hotel with fantastic food. An excellent choice on the menu. We visited it one evening and the food was so good we didn't consider going anywhere else the following day of our trip.

We were advised to Book, Good advice even during the week! In previous years it wasn't necessary, shows that it has improved no end and is still improving. The restaurant is on the main street and stands as a bar on the front with seating...More

Ate here last week based on TripAdvisor ratings. The menu was quite interesting and the young girls serving were friendly and efficient. I had a slightly strange, but perfectly edible, chicken and banana dish while my partner had an equally ok main course. Unfortunately the...More

Food and hospitality superb, nice friendly welcome... I stopped there for a well earned refuelling after biking, felt very welcome. Fully recommend the food here....

The first night we ate at the Tipsy Laird, unfortunately, their gas burners had broken down right in the middle of a busy evening and, a complete oversight, they informed all the tables except ours. So we waited nearly an hour and a half for...More

We had a family Sunday lunch here whilst holidaying in the area. It was a standard pub menu including specials. We had the special burgers which were well cooked and tasty. The fish special was a little disappointing compared to the burgers. Service was friendly...More

Already highly recommended and did not disappoint. A cracking pub / restaurant with great food, a good range of choices all done in a very relaxed style. It doesn't have illusions of grandeur, thank goodness, it's just a nice non-fussy enjoyable night out. We called...More

Local pub with a restaurant. Usually busy although we only booked in the day and it was not full when we were there. The food was very good and a good price. Worth a visit for the food - slightly unusual but very tasty

Description
Under new management since August 2016, The Tipsy Laird is a traditional village pub in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park with a great range of local Malt Whiskies, Scottish Gins & Cask Ales, and a fantastic food offering at affordable prices, with daily specials as well. The Tipsy Laird boasts a stunning South facing beer garden, perfect for lunch on a weekend or a quiet pint in the evening. Or if you prefer the indoors, we have plenty of seating in the bar & restaurant areas, with a roaring fire for the winter months. We are family & dog friendly, although please note persons under the age of 18 (this includes babies) are not permitted on the premises after 8.30pm unless consuming a meal. Please note that restaurant service concludes at 9pm every night. Dinner reservations are recommended, especially from May - September & during school holiday times.
