Cosy little restaurant, great for breakfast - especially the poached eggs on toast. Good coffee and free wifi. Good place to relax with the newspapers at the weekend.

Called in for a light snack as we had missed breakfast, their cheese on toast is amazing and enormous. Excellent coffee, good service, really enjoyed our visit and is on our list of places to go again.

We ate evening meal here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. To start with home made sweetcorn chowder the a beef stew. I was full but hubby had pudding too. Good wine as well.

The menu is a treat, unfortunately the service is somewhat chaotic. Went twice last month and it was the same both times.

Away from the Douglas promenade chaos during the TT weeks, this cafe on the marina was a great 'find'. (We only stumbled on it by exploring the back-streets by the bus station. It's very close to the market hall.) The place is run by two...More

Only a couple of minutes away from the centre of town, The Velvet Lobster is known for its stunning coffee quality, seasonal & hearty food, and a belief that we should buy as much good quality Manx produce as possible. With a cosmopolitan look, you do feel like you’re in the middle of a major city whether it be Paris, London or Manchester. This is the kind of place that’s perfectly suited to any occasion. A very tasty selection of hearty breakfast choices, a lunch menu that's suited to snacking or a full three course lunch that rolls all day and night accompanied by a great selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails made using the most perfect of ingredients. Then Saturday evenings is in an a la carte night with some classics, some new dishes & something quite exotic. Taste the difference, choose somewhere that sources lots of local produce, presented in an honest and hearty way.
