After just arriving from 24 hours of travel we were really looking forward to a lovely meal. We made reservations in their "formal dining room" yet we were the only ones in there dressed for such a thing. The staff could not get it together...More

Given we're used to dining at establishments such as Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, we had high expectations of the restaurant at The Royal - and I'm delighted to say, it did not disappoint. On the contrary, for what you pay, you'll receive excellent, friendly...More

Lovely ambiance and great service. The bread is fresh and tasty. Try to get a table by the window overlooking the quaint garden. A pianist was playing and it made dinner even better.

The dining room though elegant and formal, casual dress is allowed but no short's for men I believe,, But its a pleasure to dress smart, I believe respectful, as the staff are immaculately turned out also.
