Called in for lunch as we fancied old fashioned fish and chips. As has been said the service a bit slow but nothing to complain about. We had fish and chips, an all day fry and burger and chips. All the food was well presented and to be honest there wasn't much left at the end. The table and chairs... More

Been to this place on two separate occasions. The first time I had to wait 50 mins for a gravy chip. The second time 30 mins for the same thing. I don't mind waiting for food if it's say, in a restaurant but frying chips shouldn't take as long as that! Whilst standing in the shop I overheard several customers... More

I have to say we'd burger and chips the other day from here and it was excellent. Burger well cooked bit burnt and not greasy. The bun was fresh and not stale. The fries were excellent, light and crispy. I hadn't been for years as put off last time but I guess new management bring improvements. Well done! Archi

This is our regular choice of 'chippy' in the town. We have been using Holywood Fish Cafe for years now and we always get a good meal there. We mainly use the carry out service and although sometimes slow at certain times as they are very popular, it is always worth the wait!

Best fish and chips in town. You can ring ahead with an order and staff will say how long to wait . very busy at teatime so be careful where you park. They also deliver Thurs, Fri and Sat after 5 pm. You won't go hungry as the portions are large!!

We've used this place a few times and it's okay. No major complaints but it can be cold on a blowy day and service was too slow for my liking on the most recent visit. So - 'average' says it all.

As a regular sit-in visitor i have to say that whilst the interior is very basic both the food and the service are very good.

Usual choices for a fast food shop sit-in takeaway. Fish & chips, burgers and wraps. Standard of food is good though. Kids menu good. Service can be a little hit and miss though.

Called in to get a sausage and chip. Only one other customer there. It took half an hour to produce 1 sausage and chip. I commented that I thought half an hour was too long to wait. To which I was greeted with IS IT? I think it is for fast food

The clue is in the title over the door - fish cafe. This place does what it says it does. Probably not in Egon Ronay. It provides a reasonably priced, large portion of fish with good chips, a slice of bread and butter, a bit of salad and mushy peas. Not the best cafe or comparable eating place that I... More
