Can't fault the food, service, decor and value for money. We were a table of 17 and had a lovely meal served quickly and really tasty.

We called here on the spur of the moment for tea with the family. Good 2 for 1 deals and it was a lovely evening so we sat out the back. Good value & service. Hadn't been for a while but we will definitely return.

Some difficulty locating the pub using google maps but once there we enjoyed a good value meal. Not a huge choice of beers but sufficient for a meal. Busy but probably due to it being nice with good food.

Hi, this used to be the Farmers Arms owned by Hartley's and latterly run by Frank Greenhalgh. There was another pub in Stainton called the Miners Arms sadly gone the way of many others and disappeared. Simon

Staff get tips once management take their percentage, generally 50%. I know this for a fact. I'd urge people not to leave tips.
