Went for eat out to help out & under pressure as they were very busy, they coped very well. Four instead of five stars due to forgetting to bring out my sons pizza, four adults all eating whilst he was sat waiting - when it...finally arrived after asking several times where it was, we had nearly finished our meals. This was the only criticism as the food was delicious & portions were huge. If booking - request to sit upstairs as the decor is much nicer & better than downstairs.More

Booked in advance and arrived on time only to be left downstairs for 10 minutes while staff scurried around. Eventually shown to our table (no idea what social distancing is upstairs). We were left with the menus and having decided we then waited for 20...minutes before someone came over to ask if we wanted a drink. Unfortunately Gin and Tonic was not available as they didn't have any Tonic...I think they may be missing out on earnings here with the most popular drink in the country at the moment! Decided not to stay for the food as the omens were there. The staff weren't bothered that we were leaving. It's a pity as the place was recommended and reviews pre-lock-down were very good, now there's more negative than positive and that will only harm business.More

Patrons take second place to takeaway as we waited 15 min in the ground floor waiting area while a hoard of food boxes were packed and dispatched. The decor and design is interesting not something you expect in Cumbria. It appears to have been painted...by a 10 year old with vivid imagination but provided a great conversation topic. Overall a great improvement on the standard Middle East restaurants. The wines are reasonably priced and so is the food, nothing costs more than fifteen pounds. Service deserves some improvement but who knows what Is happening in this Covid era, all servers were polite and served with smiles. Generous portions so do not be afraid to share. Try different dishes. Tabouleh is a definite NO, we sent it back for some changes and then sent it back, accepted without a murmur, but of course added to the bill, so watch out. In fairness it was taken off once I pointed it out. Cash only, will a tax inspector please take note. They have Till next door so not a real problem. Overall a good night out rate it 8 out of 10. Will definitely go again.More

After navigating the drug addicts at the door we were welcomed with a sign stating we had to pay by cash only. I'll let them off with that as IT failure can plague any business. We were shown to our table by a delivery driver...who we would have loved to be our waitress for the evening as she looked very efficient. We were seated next to the bar but waited 20 minutes for a waiter to take our drinks order. Drinks were finally served, wine slightly warm, my Son who ordered Peroni was spot on. Still no sign of a meal order. The guy next to us was there before we were seated but actually he never got to order, he simply picked up his wine and left without paying! The highlight of the evening. Finally order was taken but took an age to arrive, when it did arrive the starter was lacklustre, garlic bread with cheese that lacked garlic and cheese. The Calamari didn't taste bad because it didn't taste of anything and was lukewarm. Mains came much later and competed for space with the starter plates that had never been taken away. Two out of three mains cold. Sent back and returned eventually in a fairly icy condition. Owner assured us that he cut the meat himself and he had a video of it being calved. Sadly no thermometer reading, the meat could have been stone cold when calved. To be fair the two cold mains were removed from the bill and we left disappointed from a restaurant that showed true promise. Has to wait 15 minutes for a taxi that we ordered to get away from the place. Taxi booking not the restaurants fault but added to the misery.More

I called and asked if the food was halal, since it is a Turkish restaurant, however the staff member I spoke to had no idea what halal meant. This is not a negative review. But as someone of Turkish heritage myself it is surprising to...be honest.More

Worse Experience in 30 years of dining. Floor was like an ice rink as it had been raining. I asked a waitress what was being done about it, she reported it and it was not sorted. We were led upstairs on arrival, it was packed...to the rafters, social distancing????? Seated downstairs where social distancing was adhered too. Drinks came, coke was flat. Food came after a long wait. Sons pizza was wrong one, but we never complained as he liked it. Daughters meal, "The Cruncher" burger was warm at best. The cheese wasn't even melted, just plonked on with a few crispy pieces of "Crunchy" nibbles, the same as were served as an appetiser, and that was it. Complained to our server who was very dismissive of how it could be cold as it was cooked on the charcoal grill. It must have been stood for a while then, as cheese was not melted. He offered to do another which would take 15 minutes. This was not an option as we were all eating together. He then offered to put it under a grill and toast a fresh bun and melt said cheese onto the burger. My daughter wasn't prepared for either so we declined politely. I asked for a box so we could put mine and sons remaining food in to leave. Short of launching at us, it was tossed onto the table as he was passing to deliver food to another customer. I was disappointed at his manner so left money for mine and my sons meal and got up to leave. He then shouted across the restaurant that we needed to settle the bill. I explained we paid for what was suitable and he then publicly stated that I shouldn't attend his restaurant if I couldnt afford to eat there!!! Then followed a heated exchange in front of customers. Absolute inferior in every manner. The irony is that the only other time I have been when they first opened, everything was excellent and we tipped handsomely. Obviously there were not enough staff and they are trying to make up for the covid situation. I am all for bars and restaurants trying to get back on track but not at the expense of all mentioned. Safe to say I will never go back and hope that if they read this, they respond in a positive way and sort themselves out.More

Absolutely shocking service! The staff have no idea what’s going on there’s no communication you can hear constant shouts asking whose food is whose!! Waited 90 minutes for food (after asking several times) then half the items didn’t arrive and half of what we did...get was wrong. When we tried to complain a small angry man came immediately shouting “not you doing this again” we have never been to Barrow-In-Furness before never mind this restaurant! He wouldn’t listen to reason and kept shouting causing everybody to stare at us saying “no I’m not having this” calling us liars and that we had what we ordered! Horrendous customer service. Save yourself the upset and stay awayMore
