This is my favourite place to drink in Bowness and one of the best in the Lake District. A fabulous atmosphere with fantastic food and great beer. A must visit if you love traditional English pubs!

Called in here for lunch, what a fabulous old pub - loved the fire. Food good, very busy even on a cold January lunchtime.

Over It here last night with my partner and his family and this pub had very friendly staff and make a lovely G&T. The music was varied and it was a nice end of the night.

A small group of us came here for Lunch, including 2 Babies. Made most welcome! Varied Menu and range of Specials, we all found something suitable. Great traditional Pub atmosphere.

Quaint little hideout with roaring log fires. Get in early if you want prime seating next to the fire. Food was hearty pub food and last orders were 745pm so don't leave it too late to order food.
