We've patronised the Marlboro a few times a year for fifteen years. Gradually We have come to the conclusion that their fish and chips are no longer the quality that built their reputation locally. The chips were anaemic and were probably cooked earlier and re-heated....More

Fantastic place, good quality fish and chips. Fish is battered on arrival so you know its not sat there keeping warm. We ate here twice throughout our four night stay. Try the curry sauce, made in house and is fantastic! x2 large cod, x2 large...More

We found this restaurant by accident when looking for somewhere to eat. It's a family owned restaurant for several generations serving great fish and chips in a cosy dining room with very attentive waiting staff.

Last night we had haddock and chips from the Marlboro. We have been here for fish and chips in previous years and found them excellent. However, on this occasion the chips were soggy and sad and really not appetising. The haddock was good.

Ask the locals where they buy their chips and all of them said here, I can see why good portions, good food. Try the cheese and onion fryit was delicious.
