Used to stop here for a light meal or passing lunch from time to time. Did so again earlier this month and was disappointed with the welcome, the lunch, uncleared tables and the fact that the ladies toilets had no paper or towels. Got a feeling of "Am I bovvered" from the staff on duty. We won't bovver stopping again.

We popped in here for a drink & a cake on the way to Darlington & it was worth the visit . A lovely place with a nice shop where we bought cards & local beers plus a few biscuit / cake treats .

Having looking forward to seeing round the reclamation barn we were disappointed it was not open and also what would have been in it was not what the web site said. We stopped for soup and coffee. Top marks for the soup, but the coffee is the worst I have ever tasted. I tasted like a packet latte. One sip... More

Came for a week's holiday in a hired static, first Rose welcomed us and took us to the van which was spotless and considering the time of year and a some snow was very warm and snug. During our week must say this was a perfect base due to being so close to different counties providing lots to do. Onsite... More

Lovely friendly staff, gorgeous little shop, beautiful site! Stayed here with my partner, our two kids and our dog in a tent and my partners sister & brother in law in their caravan. We were right next to the pond which was absolutely perfect. There was a tyre swing and play area for the kids next to the pond which... More

Called here for the antique centre and reclamation barn. A few pieces 20 c wardrobes and desks and that was it. A 250 mile trip for nothing. Website manager looking at the business through rose tinted glasses. Cafe and shop had little to offer in way of quality farm shop products.

We have just got back from a 3 night camping trip (non-electric), when we got there the staff were very friendly and helpful and showed me on a map where to go, I found it straight away, an empty with a small pond a porta cabin toilet block. We pitched up easy, no issues with the hard ground others have... More

Checked in fine at the shop, paid £10 key fob deposit and found our pitch. It was very windy but hasn't been since and we got our tent up with the exception of the ground pegs which snapped in the stony soil, that was a bit tricky. It's always a bonus when a camp site has a play area and... More

We took some visiting family from Jersey to Thorpe in July to see the animals and have lunch. We decided to go and see the indoor animals first but the smell was overpowering and the animal cages quite dirty so we didn't linger too long and were glad to get back outside into the fresh air. I'd mentioned the Gift... More

Our first time camping with 3yr old twins and I have to say I was nervous to say the least. The weather was fantastic, bright sunshine and our pitch was great, it was spacious and we didn't feel on top of our neighbours. There were 2 parks for the children and a 5 minute walk to the on site cafe,... More
