After a frantic search of trip adviser whilst traveling home, I decided to call and see if they could fit 6 people and a high chair in. A yes was a good start.. definitely a good find.. excellent drink and really superb food. Great venue, friendly staff and a welcoming venue. We'll be back soon and thank you.

Stopped here en route to Bridlington.Ploughman's lunch delicious and enormous. Not much ploughing after this-more like snoozing.Hand-pulled beer, decent wine and quaint surroundings. It was quiet but the staff looked after us well.Would definitely call again

Looking at all the positive reviews decided to try this pub as its only a few miles away, on arrival we were shown to our table and drinks order, starter came quickly and was spot on, main came and we weren't disappointed, staff attentive and helpful.... We will be back

Today we attempted to stop off for lunch before going to the Driffield Steam Rally. The first pub we went to looked desserted, the second place gave us very little choice and had no appeal so we drove around looking for a place to stop visiting most villages but nothing took our fancy until we walked into The Old Star... Finding good quality pub food in the East Riding always seems to be a challenge and I haven't been to this particular pub for many years so didn't know what to expect. This was for a midweek lunch for three so the bar was very quiet, the menu seemed OK and there were a few daily specials on the board,... More

We had a pleasant Friday lunch here of gammon & chicken. My husbands gammon was as big as I've seen, it filled the whole plate - so come with a big appetite if you want to tackle it. The salad & mushrooms that accompanied his dish were delicious. My chicken was tasty & succulent. However, I did not like the... More

Description
The Old Star in Kilham is a traditional country pub in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds and the local community. Real Ales and freshly prepared local meals are a mainstay. With 2 log burners and 2 open fires throughout the pub a warm welcome is guaranteed even on the chilliest winter (or summer) evening. A south-facing beer garden means children, dogs and sun-seekers are well catered for. Alternating Wednesdays we hold a quiz night. We are flexable to do take-way too, please just submit your order and we will prepare it for you! For tables of 6+ booking is appreciated as this will allow for better service for you and other diners. The pub is dog friendly, however during eating and peak hours owners are requested to ensure their dogs are under control and out of the dining areas. Looking forward to see you soon!
