After a seven mile walk along the coastal path The Bush Inn was the perfect resting point for a couple of pints and an early dinner. We'd come across the pub the day before when checking out the area and were immediately made to feel very welcome and it was that warm hospitality that made us decide to pick that... More

We stopped here for lunch after walking the coastal path and it was very, very busy. We did manage to get some food but as we had to walk back, just had a pasty each with salad which was actually very nice. Inside the pub it's quite small but very attractive and quaint - lots of beams. It's a very... More

We have visited this pub quite a few times, usually in the warmer months, but this time, we found it to be fairly unwelcoming. Very very cold and dark, yes we like an old atmospheric pub but this one was struggling. Limited menu and expensive for what it was. Not sure we would bother again.

We had booked for lunch here - obviously with trade being slack in the winter the restauraunt had been closed and we had been reserved a table in the bar - not ideal for my aging parents in their late 80s - So staff very helpfully opened up the restauraunt and provided a heater in there Food was good -... The food when it came was good, but some of our starters arrived after the main course, of our party, half had finished meals almost an hour before the others got theirs. When we asked what was happening to the rest of the meals the owner came out and informed us we had "ordered it incorrectly" so it was our... More

I had the steak & ale pie, my fussy other half the trio of sausage & mash. He loved the lamb & mint, pork & leek & olde english sausage & real mashed potato in an onion gravy. Steak & ale pie with real chips proper carrots & green beans. Big portions absolutely scrummy

Chose this pub as we needed to have somewhere for lunch that allowed dogs. We started our lunch in the large garden, but as it got cooler we moved indoors to the bar area. Dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant. Food was lovely, arrived promptly and was very nice. The choice of drinks is varied, and it looks like the... More

Visited today after a long coastal walk. Really friendly, great cider and the fish and chips were amazing. Yes, you can buy them anywhere but certainly not cooked to this standard - delicious.

A really great find, very old traditional pub with great beer, but the food is terrific, an amazing location, very much a "less it more " kind of place
