This is a good pub serving above average food the majority of the time. It is not somewhere to go for a budget meal as the drinks and other bits are quick pricey and it all seems to add up. However the location and views sell it for the majority of people. I always bring relatives from other areas here... More

Very friendly welcome for dogs and humans, beer and food good. Great views over the river from a lot of the bar and restaurant, had a good lunch whilst walking the Templar way.

Four of us arrived at 2.30 p.m. having booked a table. The restaurant was busy at first but there were soon quite a few empty tables. Our starters arrived without too much delay but the two squid were cold. We then waited for more than an hour for our main courses. Two of us had quite decent pieces of fish... More

Stopped here for a late lunch, and very impressed. Food menu fairly standard fayre, but with a few interesting twists. Main highlight are the stunning views out over the estuary, which if able to sit outside would be even better (this was March!). Overall very pleasant meals despite a couple of misses, including calamari which had been over-salted to the... More

The staff were all helpful but the food was very disappointing, my partner and I had a sharing platter and wished we hadn't. In fairness when we complained they reduced the bill but we will not be going back

Went here today as a spur of the moment and were greeted by friendly staff. We went for a late lunch and food was excellent and service great. Even our dog received a treat and fresh water as we arrived. Staff made us feel very welcome.

This is a really lovely place for families, couples or single people. From a cup of tea to ice cold champagne it has everything for lovers, friends, grandparents. Sit in the sun outside and admire the view across shaldon. Mark this on your map, you will not be disappointed.

Sunday dinner with wife and daughter.Pointed out to waitress Jade the big pile of inedible roast potatoes.Raw,starchy, uncooked in the middle.some with black bits.Said she pass it on.Nothing was done.Rest of meal o.k.Wish restaurants wouldn't assume everyone likes rare beef.Bad day at the office.usually brilliant

We ate here with friends last week. We had not been here for some time and loved the way the restaurant had been decorated with chic nautical effects. Our waitress Jenny was excellent, very helpful and cheerful. We did have a wait for our main courses as they had been mixed up with another order [our friend did not want... More

This was a birthday celebration which went horribly wrong. Seventeen diners booked in for an early dinner, 6:30pm. We had pre ordered but this didn't seem to make a difference. Our starters came out after one hour. There was no urgency in clearing away for the next course and we waited another 45 minutes for the main meal. When it... More
