The owners dog jumped on our niece and stole her toy. The owner when he eventually showed his face didn't even check if the kids were OK, and mumbled an apology to me not the parents.

Had a late afternoon pint and a coffee here. Very nice atmosphere. Worth exploring further. Big car park opposite.

We were staying at Bracelands close by and could not check in until 4pm so we went to The New Inn for a drink and lunch. We had chicken and chips in a basket meal. Service was good and food was lovely.
Food was fine but the welcome could have been warmer. Lots of tables to choose from but were instructed to sit in the corner by the cake fridge. Wasn't busy so not sure why we couldn't sit at a more pleasant table. No other customers...More
