This is a lovely tearoom in Grange over Sands, a short distance from the pretty railway station on the Kent estuary. We had potted Morecambe Bay shrimps and crayfish and later bought some delicious cake and bread.

Just returned from a few days in the lakes. Our first port of call is Always the Hazelmere, we love it! The best lunch time menu around, fresh and beautiful salads, hot options , and the sandwiches are made on their own baked bread. The wine list is very impressive too! The staff are very attentive and make a fuss... More

Go further along the street and there are better cafes. I found this place overpriced and the food was very average. Also far too many tables and the service was very slow. Next time I went to Grange I went to Butterworths Just along the road. Far better service, food and at a more resonable price.

We visited on the 03/02/17 , previous visits have been much better. But we were very disappointed this time. There are far too many tables and staff seem to not communicate with one another properly. Staff may need some training for busy periods. Some are wearing there uniform with purple and white colours and others just wearing black. I only... More

A very special tea room , cafe and bakery. A vast range of teas to choose from and a lovely range of food. We only had tea and scones/tea cakes, though the breakfasts looked excellent. The atmosphere and service all made this a really lovely environment in which to spend time. Bread, cakes and lunch products from shop, along with... More

We visited on a cold, damp day but the warmth and friendly atmosphere soon made us feel cosy. Lots of lovely food to choose from with plenty of vegetarian options. The soup was gorgeous with a range of freshly baked breads. Leek and Stilton bake was equally delicious as was the fish and chips. Choice of small or large meals... More

We called in for an impromptu lunch. So glad we did. Despite all but two tables being occupied we were served quickly. We had toasties/sandwiches and were very impressed. The food was lovely and served so pleasantly. All in all a very enjoyable visit. Next time we are in Grange we will make a point of calling again.

I left a review a couple of years ago, saying how excellent the meals, drinks, snacks, presentation and decor are, but that the service really let things down - slow, offhand, and sometimes downright rude. Pleased to report that they have set things right now and the services is a delight - charming, efficient and thoughtful. Well done Hazlemere; you... More
