a group of us went for an evening meal. Fairly broad choice on the menu. I had a goat's cheese dish for starters followed by lamb. The lamb was good, but not a lot of vegetable to accompany. Prices reasonable. The most disappointing feature is the very dated surroundings, and the total lack of atmosphere. Only about 4/5 other diners... More

Went here for dinner before attending Up Helly A. It was ok. I've no complaints but at the same time the whole thing was pretty underwhelming. The Restaurant/dining room feels dated. They were playing a "best of the seventies" compilation-quite loudly. Listening to lady marmalade and blame it on the boogie-whilst eating dinner-was a bit weird! Im not really sure... More

Stay in this hotel frequently, nice and central position in Lerwick. Resturant on avarage good standard, nice pub. The rooms of old standard and typical british, but also charming. Best things on this hotel are its location.

We went there twice for an evening meal and we found the food very tasty, I would definitely recommend chowder, in each occasions it was prepared with different types of fish and really delicious. Old fashionable restaurant but great service.

This restaurant was just ok. It was recommended by our B&B hosts but we w ould not go there again. It was practically empty the night we were there. Food was so-so.

Visited only for morning coffee then had a drink. There were 8 in our party. We were served in the bar by a pleasant barman and would recommend.

If you can suffer the (very) basic decor reminiscent of a 1972 English seaside eatery, then you'll be fine in the Queen;s Hotel restaurant. The choice of food is adequate, prices very accessible, portions just the right size, staff helpful. We went there twice, sampling - what else? - the fish menu: classical fish-and-chips (haddock in batter & breaded), scallops,... More

I was in the restaurant for an evening meal and liked the quaintness and atmosphere and especially the view over the harbour. The service was second to none with friendly and attentive (but not overly) staff. I had mussels and Scallops and both were absolutely delicious! The Scallops especially were obviously fresh, and huge! But the restaurant could benefit from... More

My family of six(6) were visiting Lerwick, Scotland on Sunday, August 14th, 2016. We came from the Celebrity Silhouette Cruise Ship. We were looking to have our first fish and chips in Scotland and found a restaurant at the Queens Hotel. Happily there was only 1 table left and it sat 6 people. Lucky for us! The restaurant was very... More
