Have eaten here several times recently and always had really tasty food and good service. Takeaways equally good and not expensive. Authentic pub setting with a great selection of Asian dishes.

All the best reviews are quite justified in this unusually situated restaurant inside a vibrant local pub in a small village near Ross on Wye. We stayed next door in a highly rated B&B so this is really well placed to dine and have a drink at the same time and only two minutes "home" The food was beautifully presented... More

the owners and bar tender were just great so welcoming. Great beers, cider, and just the most friendliest pub ever and boy do they NOT MIND dogs. Really enjoyable highly recommend. The indian restaurant inside it is to die for - just brilliant. We stayed at Bronte Cottage virtually next door...all perfect

Increasingly I find Bangladeshi/Indian takeaway food to be about as dull as ditchwater and we agonised over where to try on a Saturday evening. This was tasty, as described and well worth the drive. There were some decent ales on at the bar so the brief wait was helped by a half pint aperatif. The flavours were well layered and... More

We were staying in a holiday cottage a 30 second walk up the road and we're advised to visit this place. I have NEVER had such a lovely well cooked fantastic meal! Easily by far the nicest Indian food I have ever eaten. The chicken was fantastic, flavours were great and all very reasonable. The Indian restaurant is unique as... More

Valentines evening - they had made a real effort with balloons & candles & a set menu for 2 for 30 pounds. In fact we both fancied more expensive dishes and enjoyed those. Imagine our surprise when they included the dishes in the set menu saving us money and then presented my wife with a red rose and a bottle... More

We recently ate here on two evenings whilst staying at the fabulous B&B next door. It is very much a local pub (500 years old) with lots of character, cask ales and of course, in Herefordshire, local cider. We found the staff friendly and helpful, and though clearly a 'local' pub we didn't find the unfriendliness sometimes found from 'regulars'... More

The pub is friendly and authentic. We have had a number of meals in the restaurant and the last time we went it was really busy. However, we were provided with mini starters and dessert, because of the wait, without us asking or complaining so not only is the food excellent but the service and customer care is too.

Great meal wonderful service. Lots of regulars around us. This was our first visit to The Lea Spice and it won't be our last. They looked after us and they catered for our children. Thank you Abdul we will be back.

Description
The Crown is a 15th Century family run traditional village pub with newly refurbished letting rooms. We served freshly cooked foods that are locally sourced where possible and offer great value. We specalise in home cooked foods, not bought in microwaved meals, from our chips to our soups & pies, our extra large Yorkshire Puds and our house special bread & butter pudding with marmalade & grouse whisky. We offer a really warm welcome and are both child & pet friendly. We can boast 3 real fires in the Winter and two garden areas in the Summer, two bar areas (one for pool & darts) and a seperate Lounge. We think theres somthing for everyone at The Crown....come & see?
