Our first visit to the Cowshed was for an 80th birthday in late September. We enjoyed it so much and were so impressed with the food and service we decided to book for Sunday Lunch. We have a disabled Mum in a wheelchair and we try and take her somewhere different on a Sunday and she was absolutely delighted. Access... More

After many years of saying "we should try the Cowshed," we finally got round to visiting. The food was excellent, I had the slow cooked beef shoulder for my main course which was truly excellent. All members of our group were pleased with the quality of the dishes, all portions were generous. Food service was excellent. My only minor complaint... More

Another trip advisor win. A delightful dinner for two in a converted farm building in the middle of no where. Modern British food well made, well presented and well served. Nice little touches such as the amuse bouche of leek and potato soup. Starters of courgette, garlic and brie soup, and a chicken parfait, both excellent. Mains, braised beef with... More

The food was really good as was the service. I had the shoulder of beef which I would definitely recommend! The lovely waitress was very attentive and... More

Me and my husband booked a meal here on Saturday night. We shared the baked Camembert to start which was lovely with warm bread and chutney. I had fillet steak followed by chocolate brownie and Ferraro rocher ice cream (amazing) and other half had lamb shank and cheesecake. The food was tasty and the lady bringing out the food was... Very enjoyable birthday celebration meal. The Cowshed has a nice atmosphere and attentive but relaxed staff. Good food and good sized portions too. This is not a cheap venue but the quality is worth that little extra.

Great food, more than adequate choice. Really attentive staff and lovely atmosphere. Whilst not cheap it is certainly excellent value for money. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Description
Set in the South Staffordshire countryside on a working farm just one mile from the village of Pattingham, The Cowshed has been converted into a fantastic contemporary restaurant. Originally the Clive Farm Dairy, the dining room now boasts a stunning interior featuring rustic oak beams and a mezzanine balcony area. The Cowshed's classic modern British menu, under instruction from Head Chef Joe Whitehouse, features favourites such as the pan-seared scallops with pancetta and sherry jus served with ciabatta toast; pan-roasted duck breast served with a zesty potato cake finished with a kumquat and grenadine jus; and the restaurant's signature Cowshed game pie stuffed with quail eggs and served with a sharp home made chutney.
