I usually don’t bother to leave a poor review as I know how hard it is to build a good reputation, but as we visited this shop a few times during the week and the experience was the same on each day I decided I...More

Nice cafe (and shop- the sign at the car park entrance just says Village shop). Lovely bacon baguette, egg mayo baguettes, almond cake. The soup looked good as well. It is run by volunteers I think - so the service is very sweet.

Having parked in Brockweir and enjoyed pleasant, if bit strenuous walk up to Devil's Pulpit we were looking forward to a lunchtime snack. Had intended coming home but then spotted this and thought 'lets try it and support local initiative'. What a good choice that...More

We went here while staying in the area.It is. Community run shop and all those involved should be very proud of it! There is an extensive range of food from locally sourced meat and vegetables, really tasty bread etc. They also encourage recycling. Well worth a visit!

Such a pleasant friendly place, just what we needed to warm ourselves up and finish off a lovely day! We walked around the beautiful picturesque brockweir area first and then stumbled across this gem - homemade chutneys (beetroot, wasabi and ginger for me!), local brews,...More

During our holiday we walked to here along the riverside from Tintern, 1.6 miles but well worthy the trip. So much more than we expected we found a store filled with local produce, freshly baked bread, a great selection of wines, beers, ciders etc to...More

A remarkable acheivement to build a community shop run entirely on solar power and ground source heat pump. Prince Charles opened this shop some years ago. It is run by volunteers from the village and sells mainly local, organic foods. There are eating areas outside...More
