This is immediately by the Wye River and is popular with walkers. It is just minutes from Tintern and a little longer to Monmouth. I used to live in the village and the owners are charming people very helpful. It is a pity that the pub is up for sale in that the owners own a house in France and... More

During a week's holiday in the Wye Valley, we ate at the Brockweir Inn three times! I'm vegan, so it's not always easy to find something tasty and interesting to eat when I'm out, but the Brockweir Inn usually have something on the menu and are always happy to prepare something specially, given a little notice. The food is good... More

This is the second time we have visited in a few days. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was very good and plentiful. The local beers were also very good. Would come here again.

Visited this pub for lunch whilst out for a short walk around the area, called in one hour before needing the table to see if we needed to book, I was greeted in a very friendly manner by the landlord and his wife. Upon our return we were directed to a lovely table next to a lovely open fire. We... More

Stopped at the village for a walk. Saw the pub and went in. What a lovely unspoilt pub. Not a massive menu but what there was excellent. I had stuffed peppers with leeks and cheese sauce, new potatoes and salad delicious . Hubbie and friend had gammon followed by strawberries and cream excellent value courses £9

We have used the Brockweir for a couple of years, an excellent meeting up rendezvous when visiting friends in Hereford or going to the races. Always had a most enjoyable time with great cask ales & fantastic food. The fish platter is always great as is the salmon fillet. Well worth a visit, a great little watering hole but a... More

My two friends and I popped in for a lunch after a long walk. The pub was very busy and the bar to the right was full. We entered the bar to the left and there was a table for two free so we asked another table if we could take one of their chairs. The two of them promptly... More

We ate here on a Friday evening whilst staying locally. We'd booked and when we entered the Inn we followed a very large Labrador and its owner into a small, snug and very full bar. We had our own dog and were welcomed by smiling friendly staff and customers alike. We were pointed to our table in the bar, a... More
