Welsh Rarebit on delicious, thick granary bread. Followed by home-made scones with jam and clotted cream. It doesn't get much better than this. A friendly welcome, and conventiently located between Minehead and Porlock Weir on the SWCP.

Called in here whilst walking the Coastal Path. Busy little cafe, bit cramped inside but lovely garden to enjoy outside eating. I thought service was a little slow. Lots of young girls running around. Nice pot of tea and toasted teacake. Prices are about average...More

Set in a well cultivated garden, and serving scrummy cakes and the usual teas, coffees, etc, this place is well worth a detour.

Again only found this as a result of looking on Trip Advisor, where I found it highly recommended by someone who had suffered a similar bad experience to us at another tearoom at a local National Trust village we recently visited. We tried one of...More

Had a wonderful cream tea there yesterday - proper China cups, cream and jam in little ramekin pots instead of glass screw top jars and plastic tubs and wonderfully fresh scones and all for a very reasonable price - there is even a choice of...More

It's a shame that after coming here for many years as the food is generally good, the overall standard of the cafe has dropped. Most notability the service has moved from attentive to average. Also, the restaurant has stopped letting customers use the on site...More
