We have eaten here a few times and can't recommend it enough. the cafe can get busy so you may have to wait at peak times, but the wait is worth it. The menu offers a choice of burgers and tin plate meals and there's always a choice of specials on the board. Between us we've sampled a range across... More

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Scarborough. The food is always good and just a little bit different. The Ramen and Pho are especially good, as are the burgers and the breakfast- well everything actually! Get there early as it is always busy, and rightly so.

Moved to Scarborough last summer and this has become my favourite place to eat. Visited several times as a treat and I can't fault it. My favourite dishes are spunky chicken (excuse the name) and the sloppy Joe burger. This place is a lovely little rustic café and easily the best in North Yorkshire

We called this place based on TripAdvisor when visited Scarborough. The little cafe is hiding in a side street close to the railway station, a bit difficult to find. Welcoming, friendly staff, the place was very busy, so we had to wait for the table, but separate seating area was offered. After 10 minutes we got our table. Good size... More

Visited on Saturday of Easter weekend. Food was great - we had flavoured lattes, then shared Dirty Eggs and a breakfast burrito. Service was good, 4 stars instead of 5 because my boyfriend hadn't even finished his mouthful before his plate was taken away, felt a bit rushed even though there weren't people waiting

Twice when we visited inspire of some empty tables we were told they had no tables . Even when we passed it 20 minutes later the tables were still empty . The ,3rd time we booked a table only to find the place more than half empty and on enquiring we were told told that a party was booked and... More

Hello lizrblack Thanks for taking the time to write this review, we are sorry that you've felt such disappointment in your eventual visit to us. When passing the first time and enquiring as to a table, to be told we had not tables available, this means we are fully booked at that time slot. Upon walking past again some 20... More

Visited here for breakfast and tea on the same day. (Breakfast was so good we made a point of returning for an early evening bite) loved the decor, atmosphere and the staff were lovely. This is a must visit. Excellent value for money.

Description
Eat Me Cafe sits quietly in a backstreet of Scarborough behind the world-famous Stephen Joseph Theatre. We offer a diverse multicultural menu, serving hand-packed burgers, Japanese Ramen, Shetland Pie, Thai Curries.... And much much more. 95% Of our food is made in-house from scratch. Our wide range of cakes changes daily. We serve our own much loved blend of coffee, fair trade certified and expertly roasted by The Heavenly Coffee Company and this can't be found anywhere else. All our food is cooked to order, and at busy times there may be a delay. Our chips are skin on for goodness and seasoned with Eat Me's own blend seasoning. We only use Butter on our breads and please be aware that Our Kitchen contains nuts, both kinds. If you have special dietary requirements please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We always have dairy free butter alternatives and soya milk on request, as well as Gluten Free bread for those sandwich requirements. Also, during the day when busy you may be asked to share a table, you never know who you might meet. We love Yorkshire and Scarborough and were so proud to receive The Good Food Guide Cafe of the Year 2014 award and be in the guide again for 2015. We embrace our quirkiness, bringing a smile to our customers faces from the moment they walk in! Finally if you are in a rush for the theatre, the train or collecting the kids please let us know, we will do all we humanly can!
