We booked a table for my partner's birthday and weren't disappointed. We were made to feel welcome when we arrived and throughout our visit. A few things stood out for us: - If it's on the menu, try the cod main course - it's absolutely...More

I have heard much about 'The Waggoners' of recent years so thought I should return and see how the 'old girl' is doing. I was impressed that little had changed, but why fix something that isn't broken. Many of the old locals still frequent the...More

Found this on trip advisor. Lovely pub that could easily be missed without a sat nav. Immediately liked the place when greeted by Amber who made us feel very welcome. We all had lamb shank and it was yummy. Pudding didn't let them down either....More

Four of us went for dinner on a Saturday. The beef fillet was excellent (a little more cooked than we expected, but delicious all the same). The lamb shank and the chicken dish were also very good. The relatively inexpensive wines (available by the glass...More

Set in Ayot Green where there are lovely country walks sits The Waggoners; a characterful country pub with excellent dining and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

What a great little pub. Very friendly staff, nice garden, food really good and dogs are allowed in, so we can now take them for a nice long walk then treat ourselves as well before heading back home.

This review is long overdue as my wife and I have become regulars at this lovely pub/restaurant. It's a short walk across the woods for us, so we often pop in for a drink on a nice day. The place clearly has a very local...More

I would agree with the other answers. Not being a vegetarian of any degree, I have not enquired. However, the staff have been extremely helpful when my guest did have a dietary restriction.
