Amazing!

My family and I come to Simla every Friday to catch up after a busy week, and every time we visit we are so welcomed by their kindness and always have a great laugh with the staff! The food at Simla is always fantastic, orders are always correct and the service is brilliant. There is an amazing choice on the menu and for the price it sets a very high standard for the rest of the high street curry houses around Sutton Coldfield to try and keep up with. See you Friday!

One of our very favourite places to dine ...

We first visited this fabulous restaurant several years ago & frankly haven’t looked back since. On arrival the staff greet you with a professional yet very friendly tone. Even during the present circumstances of Covid we have, on a few occasions decided “last minute” as you do, to go for a curry & although we hadn’t booked a table, we thought we’d Just pop along anyway to see if they were able to accommodate us, fortunately they were & we’ve, as yet been able to dine there on every visit. However I do recommend you book first at the moment, especially if you intend to dine in a large group. Once dined here, trust me, you’ll be hard pushed to better it. When I say they’re willing to cater for your personal taste, I’m not kidding you. Just ask for what you’d like & you won’t be disappointed. My husband tends to be a little more adventurous than me I’ll be honest .. I tend to know what I like & like what I know. I can honestly say the quality of the food is extremely consistent & as yet I haven’t been there & not enjoyed a meal. Portions are generous, yet the quality is there ... no tough, overcooked chicken In the curries I’ve had & personally I can thoroughly recommend the English prawn cocktail starter .. it’s delicious. If you can .. I recommend you book a table downstairs to fully enjoy the fantastic water feature in the window .. it’s totally mesmerising .. However we’ve dined several times upstairs & the atmosphere is still cosy & not overcrowded (in my opinion). I could go on & on but I will spare you that! Just book & enjoy

Lovely Curry

Started using this place again recently for delivery & made me wonder why I used anywhere else. Food was absolutely delicious, delivered quickly & arrived tasty and hot. The tandoori chicken balti is my current favourite!

HORRIBLE!!!

My daughter and i arrived had a starter and before we had finished the main course arrived we were rushed it was ridiculous the waiters were watching our table it was meant to be a relaxing meal but they couldnt wait to get us out?? everyone else were enjoying their meal and taking it slowly. It was the worse curry ive ever had it was dry and tasteless it was horrible. Im at home now feeling sooo sick. Never been rushed so much,ended up taking it home but its in the bin now. Our eve was spoilt and its my daughters 30th birthday tommorrow. Also we ordered 8 poppedums and only 4 turned up we had to tell the waiter. What a horrible night and meal.

Always amazing!

Simla is my families favourite restaurant, we continue to return here! The food is always amazing, flavour is lovely and the portion sizes are great. But the main reason for returning is the staff, they have the most amazing customer service skills, always checking at the right times if you’re ready to order or need anything! Always a lovely conversation with them and they really can’t do enough for you. Also, any time you say to anyone you’re going there they always say it’s the best Indian restaurant so we can’t be the only ones that think this! 100% recommend this restaurant.

WOW! Another fantastic meal.

Another lovely meal at our favourite curry house. Dil and the team are so helpful and welcoming, and the food is just so good every time! It never disappoints! Our food was so tasty and piping hot. Dil took the time to answer our questions about some dishes, and recommended some more, which we are so excited to try next time. Thank you again. See you soon!

The Best Balti this side of Ladypool Road

Simla Boldmere as always the standards are 100% they never scrimp on portions or flavour. The thing about Simla I love, whenever we go We are treated like family. You can have any dish as spicy or hot as you want if you want a really mild Balti no problem if you want a Balti phall go for it, they will do it for you! The Brothers Faz and Dill are genuinely really nice guys and they reflects in their staff. I honestly believe these guys do the best food this side of Ladypool Road. If you are in North Birmingham I highly recommend Simla Boldmere

A belter of a takeaway

The takeaway provided by the Simla Team was simply outstanding tonight. From the order over the phone including personalisation of the menu items to suit our tastes was no trouble for them to take onboard. This is the best Indian takeaway I have had in many a months and the cheese and keema Nan was simply the best takeaway Nan bread I have ever had. Well done Simla Team - keep up the good work and I won’t be leaving it so long before I order again!

There are so many good food outlets in this area, but in my opinion, Simla can't be beaten. Although we all have our favourite dishes, whatever you chooses here is always flavorsome, fresh and plentiful. Service is friendly and efficient but not pushy. The team do not disappoint. With lockdown Mark 2 underway, I had to order takeaway. Lots of people had the same idea and no wonder. Still, having ordered on the phone, the wait was minimal. Again, all dishes were distinct in flavours and up to the highest standards, I was not disappointed. The sooner we can get back to visiting though, the better.

No need to visit anywhere else!

We visit this restaurant frequently purely down to the outstanding food quality and exceptional service. I no longer choose a dish from the fantastic menu but am recommended a suitable dish to my spicy taste. This works perfectly and we are never disappointed. It is also great for the youngsters, it really helps that the boss man Dillon has young children and will always make you feel welcome. Overall if you want great tasty food then look no further on this busy high street.

Great food, brilliant service and super value

We ate here tonight and I was very impressed by the high quality food that we were served. There's a value deal on Mondays so we were also happy with the price. A special mention for the friendly and attentive staff too. Thanks for everything.

Visited with my family last week. We wanted my 6 year old grandson to have his first taste of Indian food. Service was excellent,including attention given to my grandson. Food was also excellent and all in all we had a lovely first time experience. We will be back again!

BEAUTIFUL FOOD!!!

UTTERLY GORGEOUS! Wow. That is one of the best curries I've ever had. For full context I am someone who is mixed British and Punjabi Indian. I have had my share of Curry in my time. I've had good curries and bad curries. Some with good quality, some with bad, some with massive portions, some with not. Simla had ALL QUOTAS MET. The curry was delicious, the bread was well cooked, was warm and fresh, and they even throw in extra sauces, garnish, dips and chocolates that others would charge for. Unfortunately they lose one point as I was unable to ring them to ask what they would prefer the 10/10 review on, so I cannot comment on their service, but from the takeaway I had, this place gets the award for best curry house in Stratford-upon-Avon. Thank you so much guys!

We LOVED Simla

Me and my other half stopped by while looking for somewhere new to eat. It’s safe to say that Simla did not disappoint and we shall be returning. The service was professional and fantastic. The staffs uniform makes the dining experience feel more formal. The curries were absolutely beautiful. We didn’t order any rice or naan but we instead decided to use the popadoms as a filler which paired up really well. The portion size was good and we had 2 full and happy bellies. We was also given an extra generous complimentary popadom bowl which we were very grateful to receive. Simla looks after their guests.

"Exceptional Dining Experience at Simla with Outstanding Service from Abdul

I dined at Simla tonight and had an incredible experience. The food was outstanding, with each dish bursting with authentic Indian flavors. The service was impeccable, and Abdul, our server, really stood out. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Simla and commend Abdul for his exceptional service. I will definitely be returning soon.
