We popped in here after the cricket. The staff and locals were welcoming and chatty. Good range of beers available. We did not try any food. It appeared to be very good value in comparison to other town centre pubs.

Decent enough food very near to the cricket ground but the chips weren't good as they oil was obviously old, shame because the food otherwise was alright and all the locals and staff were friendly and welcoming

The Princess Royal hosted a BBQ and skittles night for our work night out. Tim and Patsy looked after us very well and Tim cooked a lovely meal on the traditional BBQ pit in the beer garden.
