The food is delicious, but expensive and with slow service. The acoustic environment makes the place noisy, and sometimes a normal conversation at your own table is difficult hear while talk from other table comes in loud and clear.

The main draw of Smia is the atmosphere and historical surroundings. Outside for lunch in summer, with a view on the Vålerenga church, inside next to the fireplace in winter. Good food and good atmosphere. Good for romantic dinners.
