Enjoy an evening at Statholdergaarden in a beautiful, historical and romantic athmosphere with delicious food and good wine to drink. The service is exelent! I recomend this experience to tourists and to Norwegians. Statholdergaarden is very popular among the population og Oslo.

If you want the best of the best, this is the place to go. We had a 10 course dinner with wine. The combinations of food and wine is always immaculate. It isn't the cheapest place, but that comes with the quality you get. The...More

his restaurant impeccably serves exquisite food. it has tasting menus (4, 5 or 6 courses) and will pair wines with your food if you want. Every single dish was subtle and delicious . It is quite expensive, but worth it.

We had a standard 4 course menu. The wine-pairings were perfect; fantastic handblown glasses. The lamb was unfortunately not very tender, although it was tasty. The service was largely very good, but not quite as attentive as expected.

Not that many restaurants in Oslo achieve a level of sophistication as this one. Beautiful room in famous old house. Excellent service by well trained staff. Warm and friendly hospitality. And of course delicious food and extensive wine list. We had a great evening.

Celebrating and enjoying a great meal. A small disappointment with delicious fish slightly overdone. Great service.

Expectations were just partly met, I have recently been to Maemo and Kontrast and food there is vastly more exciting and innovative. But this is of course a concious choice, and they pull it off quite well at Stattholdergaarden. No real highlights or letdowns, a...More

I'm not so concerned about halal. The citchen is typically French, and I do not think they put too much emphasis on halal. Your question is best answered directly from the establishment.

Description
One of the finest gourmet restaurants in Oslo, located in a 17th-century building in the old city centre. The ceiling has some of the finest stucco work in Northern Europe. The chef, Bent Stiansen, won the prestigious chef championship Bocuse d'Or in 1993. Order from the à la carte menu or try the six-course menu of the day. The menu is composed of the best ingredients available at the time Stiansen uses high-quality Norwegian ingredients, coloured by European tradition. Chambre separée for 8-24 persons. In the basement you find the more informal Statholderens Krostue, which is open for both lunch and dinner.
