Was here for business dinner seated in a glass enclosed private room. We had agreed to a menu for the whole group of 12 beforehand, which included four courses - a crab and roe appetizer, soup, a perfectly prepared piece of cod served with scalloped potatoes, and for dessert an over the top berry crisp with vanilla ice cream. This... More

I picked up a recommendation for this restaurant via an Oslo guide and my mouth watered at the thought but let me be frank, it's pretty average. Not that it's not nice and I guess I should have known that this would be an over rated, over expensive establishment given its prestigious and very nice location in the development by... More

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by our hotel. We asked for a place that had true Norwegian style food. As we entered, they greeted us and seated us promptly. We did visit this establishment during a holiday weekend, so their normal menu was cut back significantly. Not realizing they did not have cod or the lamb, our... More

Not my first pick choice of restaurant as most of the restaurants were closed on Mondays and because of the coming easter celebrations, some closed for the entire week. Chose a 3 course menu, starters, soup and main course. The first 2 were pleasant as its neither too intense flavouring more towands the bland side which is fine to me.... More

Last day in Oslo and with some spare time in hand i went to this restaurant and was a rather nice surprise. Even though fish seems to be the main thing here (i did have the fish soup as starter and was amazing) and decided to have the Lamb Shank as main course and it was divine! Very tasty indeed.... Right on the pier, Lofoten has a great location. The service was very pleasant, but the food was average. We were a party of 8, so had a chance to taste several dishes. Aside from the Skate, which was very good, everything else was very mediocre -- left of ten!

I ate the menu and it was really good. The location of the restaurant is beautyful and it is very nice place. I definitely was not dissapointed. But regarding the location and prices I would have expected something extra for the fifth star in my review.

Nice restaurant on the seafront with a relaxing view on Aker Brygge promenade. As the name will suggest, it's the reign of fresh fish. Being there in March you shouldn't miss fresh cod as it's the best season. Friendly service although not very fast. Quite expensive but this is Oslo.

I had visited this place a couple of years ago and it still is a very good restaurant. I had fresh cod this time as it was in season and came highly recommended by the staff. It was excellent. They even offered us seconds, but I was stuffed and had to pass.

Four course meal was unique and delicious from start to finish. Amazing service and insane view. Best dining experience in Oslo. Stunned there are so many 4* and lower reviews. Cannot think of anything to critique. One table of friends had wine, the other beer, and everyone had a great time. Ingredients were incredibly fresh. The price was shockingly low... More

Lofoten is an elegant, yet cosy and relaxed seafood restaurant on the edge of Aker Brygge with an exquisite maritime menu, good beverages and excellent service. Lofoten pride themselves in serving the best fish and seafood the sea has to offer. The restaurant's philosophy is to serve rustic food that not only looks good, but also tempts the palate and satisfies one's hunger. The menu changes 7-8 times a year and reflects each season's specialities. January-March: Steamed cod with liver and roe, flown in from Lofoten! April-September: Summer menu, 200 seats outside with a great view of the Oslo Fjord. October-December: The Norwegian speciality lutefisk (cod treated with lye).
