It is a calm and big place. The food for breakfast was really good, the service was nice and it was not too expensive (considering that Oslo is a expensive city)

A couple of hundred metres behind the palace guardens you can find delightful boulangerie with on site baked bread, croissant ++ coffee, juice... and a place by the fire place in winter or outside in the sun on the quiet street. Enjoy!

We stopped here for a coffee and a snack. Our boy dugg his teeth into their giant raisin buns, my hubby had a cinnamon bun and I a pain au chocolat. The pastries and the coffee were good. They had fired the fire place which gave a nice warmth. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

We started with a nice sandwich and finished with a chocolate scone, which was really tasty. There was free water, butter and fresh strawberry jam. The atmosphere was very relaxed.

We visited here after we had to check out of our hotel (just across the road) and had to waste some time before catching the Bus to the airport. We had a brilliant time and although expensive, they didn't mind us only buying one coffee each and sitting in their garden for quite some time! On a Sunday it seemed... More

We went for a light breakfast; coffee and scones. It was absolutely delicious and they had the best homemade strawberry jam I have ever had! It was a sunny day so we sat outside on the terrace. A great experience. Friendly staff and heavenly treats.

Åpent bakeri is my baker, I go there all the time. Their Swedish Sourdough Rye bread is my vice, allso their white Sourdogh bread is fantastic, and their Croissants is out of this world.

We were told by a local, "best coffee in Oslo." That was enough to convince us to try it for breakfast. We were not disappointed. Luxurious cafe au lait, great scones with home made jam, cozy wood stove.

My wife and I were recommended this by a friend, this was a good choice. I had coffee and cake and my wife had hot chocolate and cake, both of which were fresh and made on site. It was yummy and we shall recommend this bakery as well. Well worth the walk from town.
