This was a business meal at a 3 star Michelin restaurant in Oslo - I believe the only three star restaurant in Norway. An amazing experience - 20 small course with locally sourced food, prepared with such attention to detail. The wine parings were excellent and interesting. Service - impeccable! A truly amazing evening that totally titallated the senses!

This is by far the best restaurant in Norway. Though there are many great restaurants in Oslo, but this is the only one that is truly world class.

It has to stop,it has gone far enough now. Not everybody can be Noma, and Maaemo is for sure not, no matter how hard they try. If you want to spend four months prepearing a tartar, make sure its worth the time and effort, instead of the dish ending up as, well, a tartar and a semi interresting story. Don't... More

I have visited Maaemo many times over the years, sometimes the experience has been top notch, other times the experience falls flat. On a visit in September all was well, and it lived up to its three Michelin stars. My latest visit, in the middle of December, was less impressive. Some dishes were very good, some ok, but others failed... More

A great culinary presentation of Norway! Our dinner consisted of 20 dishes made from fresh and seasonal Norwegian ingredients. My favourite of the evening was their take on the classic sour cream porridge, served with grated dried reindeer heart. Wine menu was good and well paired.

Absolutely top notch food and service all the way. A lot of new tastes. Always a story behind every serving and ingredient, often told by the responsible chef. We were a couple and ordered one wine-menu and one juice-menu. This was great as we shared both and had even more tasting-experiences to draw from. And it was a satisfying amount... More

We have tried the 20 courses tasting menu and we really love the traditional norwegian food. All the food offered is organic. Very nice staff and decoration. At last the also gave us the menu which listed out all dishes. Highly recommend if you want to try fine dining in Oslo. P.S. Sports shoes are allowed and it is very... More

I booked this restaurant months ago and finally went with a friend last night. The 17 course dinner was magnificent and gastronomic! The service was also very pleasant and attentive. In all a great experience. We would love to come back in Summer and try out the new courses.

Much ado about nothing. Seriously don't like to pull a place apart this much but I was a really let down. The wine pairing was like non identical twins who were always fighting and the actual quality was very much below par for that price. My suggestion is to get a wine master at those prices you can afford to.... More

I visited with a friend of mine who's a starred chef and we had the pleasure of sitting at the chef's table upstairs overlooking the kitchen. Our meal was a 20+ courses outdoor walk around Norway, including everything that is growing out there (and edible). Beautifully composed flavours and the highest level of attention in structuring and presenting the meal... More
