I don't know whether to start with the incredible service or the incredible food. I have never experienced a more knowledgeable and confident and prompt waiter as Marcin. Un believable.! We didn't through course of the meal experience four other servers and they were all...More

We had an excellent meal here on our first night in Oslo. We decided not to go for the plate of seafood that most people were having, thinking we'd find plenty such during our stay. Now I wish we'd had it because we weren't offered...More

The most unique thing about this restaurant is the fact that they are only open from May to September. The biggest problem is getting these because the closest parking is about a mile away although it is surrounded by empty reserved parking spaces. In addition...More

After a while we where able to order our food. Slow attention even though only two tables had guests. In the outdoor section. The food was good, but one of the two waiters in place was very rude, and slow. Example: We commnented that we...More

With the breathtaking view of the Oslofjord, baded in sunshine, only meters from the water, you will be treated with the best seafood experience money can buy. The seafood platter is not only exquisite when it comes to freshness and quality, but the portion is...More

We were very septic all when our friend picked this industrial looking building, right at the cruise ship docking. But once we got inside, it was clear he picked the right place. It is busy, but spacious, service was excellent. Our waiter Pedro, was more...More

Location is very good for evenings with nice weather. service is excellent. Food is generally very good, although some of the courses on the meny were unavailable due to delivery problems - this is forgiven since they specialise on fresh fish and shellfish which is...More

Close to perfect evening with a view to the harbor and sunset beyond at a table in a convivial setting, friendly and efficient staff, tasty seafood choices, and wine to match. Worth a return visit.

Great atmosphere, very good service, and views from this seafront location is hard to beat in Oslo. BUT: The quality of the 775 NOK seafood platter (100 dollars!) has over the years declined, and this years they have removed the fresh oysters too. So what...More

It's not often that I rave about a restaurant from beginning to end. All three courses were amazing with a good wine list. We were lucky enough to have a table next to the window that looked out at the view. Although to be fair...More

Description
Solsiden Restaurant is a seafood restaurant where we use only the best raw materials the coast has to offer. Besides a variety of different fish we always have "Plateau de Fruits de Mer" on the menu. This is our specialty consisting of lobster, clams, crabs, mussels, shrimp, crayfish (when they are available fresh) and king crab. The dishes can be accompanied by one of the over 250 wines from our wine menu.

Solsiden Restaurant is located on Akershusstranda right below Akershus Fortress. Enjoy the magnificent sunset over the Oslo Fjord through the windows and open sliding doors. Here Oslo harbor is like a marine painting that changes from minute to minute.

Welcome and Bon Appetit!
