The service was good, menu choice good and the food was excellent, so much so that our group returned the following evening for another meal. You don't have to spend a fortune in trendy restaurants in Vienna to get value for money. Or course it helps if you like Chinese food.

This small restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel and we ate there a couple of times. It has sushi too and it was good and very cheap. It was always fresh and not already made. It has a buffet and you can take whatever you want.

Among all sushi restaurants at this lovely street you'd better not risk going into this one. Yea, of course, at the first glance the prices for a sushi set are a BIT lower than the ones at the neighbours, but: -very slow service (chicken noodles took one hour at an empty restaurant) -misunderstood or forgotten orders (3 out of 8... We visited this place several times. Food is always good. Service is quite OK. Yes, waiters may not alqayys understand you 100%, but it happens all over the world in Asian Restaurants :) They serve take away food. One can call, order and collect packed food. Try crispy duck with rice. All variations of suhi and sashimi are also good.

I didn't like this place at all !! The service was extremely bad. We waited so long for someone to get our order and when we ask for the check... well it never came. The whole time we felt like we were annoying the waitresses. They only had half the menu available and forgot items in our order. The only... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
