This small restaurant is much better experience for Schnitzel restaurant than Figmueller, unless you manage to get into the original small one. Here the atmosphere is more like family dinner rather that factory at bigger restaurant. The bathroom is even "outside", don't worry, it warm. Menu is bigger than at schnitzel factory places, so it is suitable for people preferring... More

An easy place, great to have a fast lunch or dinner. We had a Wiener schnitzel, it was a good choice. Do not come later than 10 PM.

Hello potential costumers! We would like you to read our review about our experience in Gasthaus Poschl. We always wondered how good was the famous Wiener Snitzell. We researched it and found this place not too far from Karntner Strasse. We had Snitzell and it was really good. We shared one order. Restaurant is small so you may want to... More

Like many of local venues, this one doesn't take credit card, which makes it a bit less convenient and a bit difficult if you are used to pay with plastic. Other than that, it was great. The artichoke soup was exquisite. I hope that they take credit cards in the future.

We actually wanted to visit another restaurant when we passed by Pöschl on coincidence. It's a small well organised restaurant with traditional Austrian food. I'm known to the Austrian kitchen and I have to say it was great. The Viennese-style fried chicken and potato salade were very good. The chef also comes to every table to check if his guests... I was wandering around Weihburggasse street when I came across this hidden place. It seemed quite popular with the locals. I immediately checked the reviews online and decided to give it a shot. Wow!!! I was so glad I gave it a shot! Everything they serve is topnotch excellent. Authentic Viennese feel. The waiters are very warm and welcoming. As... More

As recommended by our hotel, we went for the wiener schnitzel and were blown away by the service, atmosphere and food. Nice people, quaint atmosphere and good beer and wine. Highly recommended

We had booked for 19:00 but eventually arrived at 17:00 very quickly organised to serve us immediately at a well positioned table. Schnitzel excellent quality and the potato salad excellent. Service quick and very friendly and humorous.

We arrived without reservation, so the only free place was at the counter, which was ok for us. Had a schnitzel with potato salad which was good, though what I liked most was the small chocolate cake for dessert. The staff was friendly, with the bartender recommending a Czech beer over the local one! Only flaw, my clothes smelled like... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
