We had the beef gulasch and veal Wiener Schnitzel. Both were pretty good. It's nice to find places that still make the schnitzel with veal the traditional way instead of with pork.

Absolutely utterly rude and awful service. We tried to order two beers and were told we had to also order food right away or leave if we didn't like it (the restaurant was not busy). We asked for two minutes the waiter shook his head and swore at us so we left. Truly never experienced anything like it.

Looks like this is a local restaurant for the local people. Very cozy and the price was reasonable. The food was decent. Don't expect any extra service from the waiter.

The Asparagus season has arrived! This "local" small place had several options for the Asparagus lover on our visit. Both the soup and Asparagus served with Parmesan and butter were absolute perfection! Also, it was the best Wienerschnitzel we have had, and a huge portion that two can share!!The calves liver with onions and mashed potatoes were superb ! Highly... More

Came in off the street around 4pm and the manager was quite unpleasant as we didn't have a reservation. Snitzel and sweetbreads were ordered. Nothing special. To be honest I can do better in my kitchen. The draft beer was nice. That's about it.

Gasthaus Pöschl is always great! Whenever I am in Vienna I go for a lunch menu or a Schnitzel, for me one of the best in town! To sit outside on the little Piazza is sooo great! Do not miss it! p.s. love the Beef tartare btw...

We really enjoyed their Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and beer. Really good restaurant, good authentic Austrian food and beer. Is worth to make a reservation as the place is quite busy and don't forget to take cash as they don't accept card payments.

Enjoyed such a good dinner tonight in this restaurant/bar that we went back the next night. Very reasonably priced for good quality food.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
