I was wandering around Weihburggasse street when I came across this hidden place. It seemed quite popular with the locals. I immediately checked the reviews online and decided to give it a shot. Wow!!! I was so glad I gave it a shot! Everything they serve is topnotch excellent. Authentic Viennese feel. The waiters are very warm and welcoming. As... More

As recommended by our hotel, we went for the wiener schnitzel and were blown away by the service, atmosphere and food. Nice people, quaint atmosphere and good beer and wine. Highly recommended

We had booked for 19:00 but eventually arrived at 17:00 very quickly organised to serve us immediately at a well positioned table. Schnitzel excellent quality and the potato salad excellent. Service quick and very friendly and humorous.

We arrived without reservation, so the only free place was at the counter, which was ok for us. Had a schnitzel with potato salad which was good, though what I liked most was the small chocolate cake for dessert. The staff was friendly, with the bartender recommending a Czech beer over the local one! Only flaw, my clothes smelled like... More

This place is a must if you are in Vienna, it was recommended to us by sme freinds who had been. We found it a bit early for lunch and asked to reserve a table did some shopping and went back to a reserved table in the window. I had the Wiener Schnitzel which was huge and with crispy better... The place is a tiny hole in the wall, limited seating, 2 page menu and cash only - but boy is it good. First glance around the room only locals..we were the only 2 foreign faces there, an indication that this local dive had to be pretty decent. The 2 page menu was even better -not a wide selection of... More

This place looked very nice and we booked for a Sunday lunch. While navigating using Google Maps we were advisor and might not be open today by the time you arrive' and their Google entry was indeed showing them as closed on Sundays. So that's something they need to update. On arrival we noticed a sign on the door saying... More

We went here because of the Wiener schnitzel. And I can highly recommend the place! It's not a fancy place, very local atmosphere, but their schnitzel is amazing. It's not too heavy, it's crisp and the quality of the veal was great. 5 stars for the schnitzel.

We visited this restaurant just before leaving Vienna and it was the perfect farewell meal. The place looks very nice and cosy, but very vibrant in the same time. Loved the food, try the plum dumplings for desert!

I came upon this place while looking for the best Wiener schnitzel in Vienna from Google. It's a busy place with lots of local character. The wait staff are prompt and polite, and I didn't face any problems making reservations in English either. I had a delicious char tartare to start and it was delicate and good. The Wiener schnitzel... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
