Delicious Viennese food in the center of town, not far from St Stephens Cathedral. I ordered the wiener schnitzel with potato salad and a local beer and it was great! Highly recommend this place. Normal price for Vienna.

Ate here with friends while in Vienna on business. The place is tiny so it's a good idea to book ahead. The staff were great and when I couldn't decide what to have to drink one of the waiters did an unprompted wine tasting for...More
Went to Gasthaus Poschl with my husband an hour ago and got turned away despite restaurant being half empty. Reason given was that all the empty tables were reserved (even the bar seats?!). Did not see any reservation signs on any of the tables. Not...More
We were looking forward to a nice meal here for our first night in Vienna, but found the waiters to be rude (we know the typical Viennese service is not exactly embracing, but these people simply ignored us). The food was ok, we had the...More
For anyone wanting to experience great local Viennese food in a casual atmosphere Gasthaus Poschl is the place. The restaurant and the atmosphere is very warm and low-key. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they make sure that you have a great time while...More
Modern yet traditional. Fulfilling. We ordered the Wiener schnitzel. The chicken. The rice. The cauliflower cream soup. And the boiled beef. The highlight was the rice, the soup and the chicken. They were outstandingly delicious. We love their food. Highly recommended.
Good Service and Great food. The Menu has a good choice of Austrian dishes but this restaurant is located downtown but has more local there as tourist. Really good service, good wine selections and a nice place to be in. Try it!
Having lived in Vienna a decade and walked past this spot - which looks so inviting from outside - many times, despite suspecting it might be a tourist spot, we finally found an opportunity to visit. Unfortunately it didn't hit the mark: - crammed tables;...More
Very warm and inviting atmosphere, food was typical Vienese. Menu changes slightly but the traditional items (schnitzel, fried chicken, goulash, tafelspitz ) are always on it. Deserts were delicious and the wines reasonably priced for the quality. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer and the vibe...More
