I went online to procure reservations here. The website responded with a message saying they would send a confirmation to my email address. My wife and I were at the Spanish Riding School when the email came...the email was in German (although the original website had allowed me to switch to English). I was able to make out "Thank you... From the outside, it’s easy to underestimate this restaurant. It looks like a bar, with a large crowd drinking beer and wine outside. But don’t let the exterior fool you! Once you are inside, you enter a different world. There are tables in the outer area and in the inner area, but I would recommend the inner area. What really... More

Zum Schwarzen Kameel is a well appointed restaurant that dates back to 1818, lots of history on show and appointed in the art deco style. The food was excellent and the service first class, very busy we were lucky to get a table without booking, well wort a visit for that 'special' meal

This restaurant dating from 16th Century is located in the heart of downtown Vienna main shopping pedestrian free area. They offer a Viennese Lunch for 69 Euros offering 6 courses of all the famous specialties. Unfortunately the service is so slowly paced that it actually took 3 1/2 HOURS to receive our meal. So if you are not a VERY... More

On a late, rainy and cold evening we were so tired after a day of traveling through the city - we saw this radiant windowed restaurant - still open, even so late, about 10 p.m. - It looked to be boom full of guests, and looked also to be very expensive. We entered - a bar off to the left... More

In a landmark building, you will have a great time. The staff is perfect and understand your needs immediatly. Food is great: a mix of traditionnal dishes and innovative ones. The selection of wines is very large and affordable. The restaurant is in the walking area. Do not miss it if you go to Vienna.

Restaurant or bar both places are ice to go. In the Bar side do not miss the server Renee who with his British humor will make you cry if laughing while serving in an exceptional manner. On Restaurant side very nice kitchen for still fair prices as you only find quality in your plates nicely presented and full of delicious... More

Very rude staff!! Whilst walking past with my wife we decided to stop for a drink. We found a vacant table outside so took a seat and waited for a very long time. I eventually went inside and asked 3 times to different waiters if we could order. The first two times I was ignored until I eventually managed to... More

To celebrate a family gathering we booked for a late lunch at "Schwarzen Kameel "we were given a wonderful table by the window and an exceptional charming waiter guided us through the menu and the wine list . At the end of the lengthy lunch we all agreed that this was one of the best food we have had and... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
