Found this place on the cheap eats of Vienna and had high expectations. The restaurant was a little outdated but it was full of locals and the food was delicious. Recommend the Goulash and Schnitzel. Brilliant value for money definitely worth a visit

We decided to try it based on other reviews. We ordered the very recommended schnitzel with cold potato salad and mixed salads. It was really good and definitely enough for two. Price wise it was very affordable, specially for a sit in restaurant. We went...More

Schnitzelwirt was recommended to me by a friend who used to live in nearby Bratislava. Now, you can get schnitzel at about every other restaurant in Vienna, but he told me this where locals go for schnitzel. It was a little off the beaten path...More

We had to wait for a while to sit outside due to the good weather. But that was oke for us. We all agreed the schnitzel where one of the best all of us tasted so far. Waiter was very friendly .

The portions are very big, but very tasty. It is a local place, and the menu is in German. The stuff speaks only German.

My husband and I were excited to go here to get some good local food. We laughed at all of the people in city center paying €13 for small, gross Wiener schnitzel as we made our way to Schnitzelwirt. We got potato salad and cucumber...More

All true - portions are HUGE! Single order of schnitzel was €7.20 and no way one of us was eating the whole thing!! We followed advice - ordered 1 schnitzel plate to share with a salad each (€3 each) + fries (€3) and barely finished...More

With a name like Schnitzelwirt, you would expect a wide variety of schnitzels and you will not be disappointed here. And, the schnitzel here is larger than the plates (we took half of each back to our apartment). The Prader schnitzel (with ham, onions, and...More

The food was good and proper Vienna style. Loved it - service was middling only. When we wanted to order another drink half an hour before closing we were presented with the bill - and no more drink.
