A table for 1 1/2h. Next time maybe we will book a table, if will be a next time. The beaf is extremely boiled and there was no suggestion considering their offer.

I really really recommend the boiled beef - it comes with a vegetable soup in which the meat is boiled, you first eat the soup and then the meat (soft soft meat) with patatoes , it's the best beef I've eaten anywhere! Very interesting dish - it costs about 21 euros and maybe it's not necessary to order 2 dishes... More

Good environment, the food is typically from Vienna, must try the specials and the salmon and prawns is just amazing!

Food was good, but we paid quite a lot for the service..For a group of five we paid 16 euros. Beware of the schnitzel which is served with cold potatos..

Ate here on Monday evening and boy can you tell it's a good place to eat, it was heaving and they were turning covers away. Had the lobster soup and then pepper steak (ordered medium rare) my UK colleague had lobster soup the salmon and prawns, MY Austrian colleague had the Tafelspitz and what a gastronomic feast it all was.... I stumbled in here and managed to get table for one during the busiest period, Sunday lunchtime. The menu was sufficiently intriguing that I followed the waiter’s advice and ordered “Tafelspitz”. Wholesome, warming, delicious and of the highest standards. The beef was perfect, the broth was delicious, the vegetables were perfectly cooked and spreading bone marrow onto the toast was... More

The journey from Plachuta to toilet is short and fast: it was less than an hour and half from having the "world famous" Tafelspitz that both my colleague and I ended up having a nasty diarrhoea (the kind I despise even to describe) We did not have any other food for a long time (being en route to Vienna) and... This cosy place serves an excellent "Tafelspitz". It is a beefbroth served a vegetables (mainly roots) and a large piece of boiled beef. It comes with a morrow bone, a kind a "hashed brown potatoes" and 2 kind a sauce. It is the place I don't miss when going to Vienna. It is also usually overcrowded so it is better... More

I had dinner at this restaurant in July. I was impressed by the traditional way that the food is prepared and by the large number of people that were waiting at the door just to have dinner at this restaurant. It's a must if you come to Vienna!

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
