The menu is well illustrated so even if you don't know Persan Cuisine you will be able to find something to your taste. The food seems to be very authentic and service was friendly.

Tasteless salads, terrible kebabs, saffron rice...I don't think so! There is nothing to recommend this restaurant. Go round the corner to the Naschmarkt instead.

We hadn't booked a table, but luckily there was enough free tables available. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the details. The menu is quite detailed and has even pictures of the main dishes, from which there are quite many. We tried Gheyme and Baghali-Polo. Both came with lettuce salad and we also got a sauce, fitting to... More

Delicious persian and azerbaijanian food for reasonable price. Try open buffet (just 10 euro for adults and half-price for children) and order teapot of black tea at the end.

Located conveniently near Mariahilferstrasse, Persian restaurant Nayeb has lots to offer. I've been there several times and I especially enjoy their buffet menu. Other than that, always attentive waiters, very tasty meals and clean and cozy environment makes visiting this restaurant an unforgettable experience for everyone who likes Middle Eastern cuisine.

For those who like middle-east and oriental meals but want to try something different than Turkish or Lebanese food I cold recommend the Persian restaurant Nayeb. The place is in downtown of Vienna on a parallel street to Mariahielferstrasse. It was for the first time we tried Persian food and we found it quit interesting. You will find there some... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
