Apparently Sigmund Freud liked to hang out here; unfortunately both inside and outside were refurbished some time in the 1970s and the place is in need of a more sympathetic refit. Not that I think they would ever fork out the money to do it...More

We went after reading the recommendations on tripadvisor and were not disappointed. The Goulash soup was delicious as was the schnitzel. This is a hidden gem and only about 300 meters from Stephanplaz.

The hotel Amadeus where we were staying was just around the corner - after a museum day -nothing nicer than a good coffee and a huge strudel -all for a very good price. No wonder Freud used to hangout here.Certainly worth a visit if your...More

Service so rude! Didn’t even look at us and shouted that there was no possibility of seating us. Too much hype surrounding this place and in my view there are other cafes offering great food and great service. So Sigmund Freud eat there? Take a...More
