This is a small Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The menu changes daily. The mixture of various ingredients is uncommon but the result is fabulous. We definitvely come back here.

This restaurant is a real gem hidden near the Brunnersmarkt in Vienna. It has a friendly atmosphere, friendly owner and great staff. It's cuisine is Italian in inspiration and has a great seasonally inspired menu, great wine, superb coffee and deserts. Whether for coffee, lunch or dinner, this is a good choice.

Hip, in the 18th, pretty perfect. Menu in Italian only (not even in German, no!), the waiter translates. Chicken liver pate; vitello tonnato but with smoked trout; rigatoni w/mushroom; orecchiette with peppers; beet & golden tomato soup; grapefruit & Campari granite. Every single dish was beautifully prepared, presented, and tasted great.

We go there regularly and enjoy it every time. The food is delicious, especially the starters, and the staff is very friendly

I liked the outcome of how the Swiss chef manipulated the Italian cuisine. He improvises but he does it with knowledge and high quality ingredients. Artichokes with pomegranate fruit and oregano based pesto was the best artichoke dish I've ever eaten.

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times, with business acquaintances, my husband, my children. It is always a good experience and the food is very high quality, the service very good. The fact that the menu is small is a good thing in my view as ingredients are bound to be local and fresh. Will go there... More

A travel guide recommended the restaurant as serving real, pure Italian food. The reviews on Tripadvisor made me doubt, but we still decided to go and have a try. Well.... if you're looking for Italian food DO NOT GO HERE! There's no 'real' pasta to be found on the menu. I asked the waitress and explained why I was so... More

Wetter promises avantgarde food. And given the prices they charge, this is exactly what they should deliver. Was there with two friends on a recent evening and yes, the atmosphere was nice, service was polite, but the food was mediocre. They try too hard to be innovative :( Wont go there again, their prices simply are not justified by the... More

Staying in Ottakring

Neighbourhood Profile
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
