We tried this restaurant because my wife thought it looked nice. Actually, it does. The menu is an absolute nightmare. I like my menus to be starter, mains, dessert. This one is all over the place, too clever for its own good. One page will have a couple of starters and a dessert, next one will have a couple of... More

We had a very good dinner at Kornhauslturm. They have several vegetarian options which were very tasty. Very good service, nice and friendly staff but a little pricey.

This is our second time to be in this restaurant because of Daily Deal voucher. First time around was about 2 months ago where the service was really slow and it took us half an hour to be served and when the waiter served us - it was the wrong order !!!! Today was our second time and even worse!!!... More

I live in Vienna since 2 years and I think I tried at least more than hundred restaurants in this city. I can simply say that this was the worst experience I had here: The service was embarassing (they told me they couldn't warm up the bread so they gave us a chewy bread from the day before) the food... My mother makes a better schnitzel and the dessert I had is served free and more tasty in my home place. Anyway, taste is always personal... Service was quite slow. We had to wait for more than 20 min between plates. Prices were high for the quality experienced in general...

My wife and I visited the restaurant for dinner while staying at the attached hotel mainly on the basis of the reviews here. The food was fine, but not worth the hefty price tag.

I stayed in the attached Mercure hotel for a week and as I was mostly working online and so attached to my laptop, I mostly ate room-service from this restaurant, at all hours of the day. I was surprised and pleased again and again by how helpful and friendly the staff were. They did whatever they could to make my... More

The food is presented in an elegant manner and the portions are appropriate. The service is good although the waitstaff seemed perplexed as to how to recommend wines to English-speakers. The decor is very nice although not luxurious. The entries we ordered - salmon and the lentils with dumplings - were merely ok. The restaurant is a short walk from... More

We had a voucher from DailyDeal and got a dinner menu for EUR 49.- (for 2 persons). First we got warm bread with butter and oil and the greetings from the kitchen, which was Cranberry Kombucha and fish Tempura. The sauce that came with the Tempura was similar to an American cocktail sauce. The tomato soup was good, but nothing... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
