We found this place four years ago and of course returned; very local and cozy gasthaus, owned by wonderful Marion, with simple dishes of excellent taste accompanied by great wine. Remember to reserve a table and remember to bring cash.

This was suggested to us by our BnB host as her favourite restaurant for Viennese cuisine and we would definitely recommend this place for casual dining. Not in the touristic city centre, it is located in a safe and somewhat residential area but is easily...More

It is a small, elegant, and authentic neibourhood restaurant near the hotel we stayed in Vienna. We went there at noon and had crispy fried chicken and beef tartar. It was one of the best experience I had in Vienna.

This former working class district blends hip eateries
and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s
Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and
Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local
icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its
brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby
urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses
several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its
