We had this coffee shop recommended to us,we went upstairs for cake and coffee we were not disappointed at all. Lovely surroundings if you want to escape all the rush of people.

Mediocre cake based on 1 cake I had , the truffle cake. The coffee wasn't special either. The place looks nice , go to the 2nd floor for a retro feel. The staff is very unfriendly. I am sure there are better places in town,...More

Wanted to avoid the main destination for Sacher and thought this a good option. A pretty shop with average cakes about 20 euros for 2 with coffee. We went upstairs to the café and its more old fashioned than classic. The view however of the...More

Looking for Sweets and Coffee and this seemed to be the recommendation from TA guide. Gal downstairs suggested we go upstairs - nice venue with floor to ceiling windows and mirrors gives a bright cheery glow (even on a cloudy day). Ended up getting Cherry...More

You enter the shop front into a tight passage way with tables to the right of you and a clean well displayed counter full of goodies to the left of you so you know straight away this is quality. We tried a couple other similar...More

The food was good and the cafe has a nice environment. However, the lady working the counter was not friendly and seemed bothered that I spoke English. In a tourist city like Vienna this should be a given. Also, if this place wants to advertise...More

I visited Heiner and got a seat upstairs, the salon is very lovely and a nice place to have a break and relax a bit. I had an Apfelstrudel and Sachertorte - I wasn't that impressed with the strudel but the Sachertorte was good.

If you visit their shop on Kaerntnerstrasse be sure to go upstairs where it is much more charming. There is a nice variety of cakes to choose from and the ones we chose were delicious. You can see why Heiner's was the former supplier to...More

I visited this café on a Tuesday at 5.30pm. I would recommend going upstairs instead of staying on the ground floor. If you are fortunate sit by the window. I ordered an excellent Apfelstrudle with vanilla sauce and custard. I loved the relaxed ambience!

The best pastry in Vienna, after extensive sampling, is not the over-hyped Sachertorte, but rather the Sarah Bernhardt Torte served as L. Heiner Konditorei. We were lucky yo find a table by the window (climb the stairs to the seating area). The service was polite...More
