How wouldn't have a Vienner schnitzel? Well, if you do, go to Lohmann's. Close to St. Stephan's cathedral and the commercial streets of center Vienna, on a nice, quiet street, this restaurant is the answer to lunch "on the fly" when you are on a tight schedule. Very nice place, good service and, most of all, good food, all these... More

Twice, in a 5 days in Vienna, we have a lunch in Lohmann restaurant. The consomme with liverknodel and the huge viennese schnitzel prepared by a cook who knows something about cooking. And in addition the decoration and the waiter service, complete our experience. Thank you.

As the restaurant is just down a side road, it was great to stop in after sight seeing. Other restaurants in the area were much more expensive. The portions were big and the staff were friendly. The restaurant could have done with having some music- it was very quiet!!

Staff very courteous and helpful. Unfortunately all dishes came overcooked and the food, possibly of good quality, was ruined. May be in another occasion, with a different chef, it could be a nice experience.

Went here which was a block from our hotel. Small but charming interior...had the Goose leg and it was excellent. The prices were moderate and the portions were considerable. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

We visited Vienna for 1 night only on Chrismas eve and most restaurants were closed. We found Lohmann opened while walking around the street and really enjoyed a nice home cooked meal. We had Shnitzel and Shtrudel. 2 popular dishes in Austria and they were tasty

Stopped in for lunch and shared the Wiener Schnitzel. Nice size serving... A little tough, but tasty. Potatoes were good. I would return if I lived there.

The staff are courteous, discrete and helpful. There is very good WI FI available if needed. There are several traditional Viennese restaurants within a block or two of this one, but of the ones I have tried, this is much the best. Recommended.

Good place to eat, even for vegetarians. Extensive menu and never a disappointment. Good service ad not too pricey.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
