Brilliant. Hostess lovely, informative and accommodating. Some have reviewed the food as boiled beef and mash - if this is your mind set, then yes, it is. But it will be the best beef and mash you will get in the area, and actually considering its provenance and ethos, it would be considered excellent in the UK and would cost... More

When in Innsbruck you have to try this place. This is not a place pretending to be something special - it just really is special. It's is a great place with forthcoming service and extraordinary, well-sourced food in a comfortable yet casual ambient. They also serve some excellent vines and perfectly know which vines go which which dish. We had... More

We came here on our first night and it was booked out. The lady who told us this didn't give us a great impression to be honest as she didn't say a table would become available just a no with no politeness or effort. The only reason I'm still giving this Place a 5 is because the staff on the... More

We were lucky to grab up a table in the bar area without a reservation and it turned out to be perfect! Our server gave great recommendations for food (also letting us know that our google translate app was not accurate when it was telling us "unicorn" was an option...). The atmosphere was great, the service was fantastic and perfectly... More

We had read excellent reports of die Wilderin so decided to give it a try while visiting the Christmas markets in Innsbruck. We had been unable to make a reservation for the Saturday night so we decided to eat there on Sunday. We were actually flying out of Innsbruck that evening so we had to eat early - 5pm. The... More

We visited die Wilderin this last weekend and while I acknowledge there are lots of large Xmas groups at this time of year, our service was far too slow. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly but it took and hour to get our appetiser. This was followed by another hour wait for our main which was... More

A return trip to Innsbruck and a reservation at our favourite restaurant for our first night. We had goose rillettes & the softest belly pork for starter, beef with grain risotto and goose 2 ways for main course and a dessert of chocolate "scrambled pancake". Enjoyed it so much that our hosts very kindly squeezed us in for their Tuesday... More

We were expecting so much from this restaurant, after reading previous reviews. We booked a few days in advance to get a table. The host and staff were very pleasant. We chose the thinly sliced belly pork for our starter which was served with some grains and basil dressing and some small horse radish style sauce drops garnishing the plate.... More

We were intrigued by the web site for die Wilderin and really liked the approach they claimed to take with food. We are so glad we ate here the food is local, in season so very fresh and just a little off the beaten track. I had a mince and cheese starter which was lovely but my wife had a... More

die Wilderin offers modern and yet traditional alpine cuisine. All produce used is sourced directly at local farmers and producers in adherence with seasonal offerings - only what is available at any given moment in time will find its way into die Wilderin's kitchen and onto the plates. Animals are bought as a whole and used that way - meaning, whatever a whole animal can offer on different cuts will be offered. No more, no less. die Wilderin's team is by no means perfect but we are all trying hard, love our jobs and hope our guests take the plunge with us - it's a hell of a ride.
