Our first visit and our last. We visited based on rating. Best part of meal was fried potatoes. Can’t really fail with them. Beer was not the usual Austrian high quality! There is better to eat and drinks for a lot less. Sorry die Wilderin...More

We were lucky to get seats by the bar, many people walked in without reservations and were turned away. A small but enticing menu, if you don’t understand Austrian, ask for help. There may be some unusual dishes but, boy, are they good. A final...More

I’m a bit surprised by all the amazing reviews this restaurant has got and I do truly hope there are better restaurants in Innsbruck. Let me start from the beginning. The place was fully booked when we arrived so we got a ‘table’ at the...More

This was the first restaurant we visited in Innsbruck after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. We arrived without a booking but were accommodated quickly enough. We were both very impressed with the Pinot Noir that we ordered and the food was good too, although I thought...More

Wonderful meal in the old town of Innsbruck. Service is friendly and helpful in both English and German, with a different menu every day based on fresh food sourced locally. We had pork shoulder and it was fantastic.

die Wilderin offers modern and yet traditional alpine cuisine. All produce used is sourced directly at local farmers and producers in adherence with seasonal offerings - only what is available at any given moment in time will find its way into die Wilderin's kitchen and onto the plates. Animals are bought as a whole and used that way - meaning, whatever a whole animal can offer on different cuts will be offered. No more, no less. die Wilderin's team is by no means perfect but we are all trying hard, love our jobs and hope our guests take the plunge with us - it's a hell of a ride.
