This was a well known cafe in the old town which had the original sacher torte cake. It was delicious and the taste nothing like other chocolate cakes I have eaten. Recommended to try this.

This was a nice surprise for us, because we really didn't anything about Sacher Tortes. It was a nice setting away from the crowds. The Original Sacher-Torte was wonderful. I would recommend coming here for a treat whenever going to Innsbruck!

We waited till the last day in Innsbruck and had really looked forward to trying the famous Sacher torte. It was a little dry, a little small and a little poor in taste. The coffee wasn't amazing either, but the surroundings are nice.More

The elegant and iconic Café Sacher in Innsbruck is in the Hofburg Imperial Palace and it exudes old world Habsburg atmosphere with modern touches brought in with a 2011 refurbishment. The café is a successful combination of a wine bar, restaurant & café. It offers the opportunity to sample some Original Sacher-Torte but there are also many savoury dishes and a fabulous wine list. In the summer the quiet interior courtyard of the palace is a great venue for sampling some of our extensive selection of cocktails and liqueurs. Host Alexander Klapps and his team treat their guests to outstanding culinary delights. The combination of a café, wine bar and a high-class restaurant offers an impressive choice of creative and delicious dishes, combining innovation and tradition, accompanied by a fine selection of wines.
