Enjoyed our visit - vanilla slice delicious, apple strudel and passionfuit cake also highly rated by the family. Great location outside by the river. Busy but staff are efficient. Note cash only if that matters for you.

After a nice walk we set for lunch at this cafe- restaurant, which was recommended by a local tour guide. The food was very good, the schnitzel & the Salmon, and the desert was an amazing apple strudel. We also took the famous chocolate cake...More
Situated right next to the river with outside seating facing the river and the fortress in the distance, the views are serene and lovely. You can spend an afternoon watching people stroll by on the walkways next to the river. However, the downside being service...More
Staff first ignored us, then asked us to wait, then sat us, then asked us (with apologies) to get up and gave our table to another couple (a higher ranking staff member had promised them - though they arrived long after we did), more apologies,...More

We had lunch here very recently attracted by the beautiful location on the river in Salzburg. The food was reasonably priced and was okay. The service from the young arrogant waiter was less than average for the standard of this lovely cafe.
Lovely historic building. Chandeliers , dark wood panelling and waiter service. Step back in time and have a light bite and a drink. Fabulous river setting , ask for a table outside - fingers crossed one will be available,
