Lovely warm service, the Leberknödel Suppe was rustic and yum, the schnitzel fairly average. Some wines by the glass for around 4€, overall fairly priced, nice place to stop on a cold day.

Well worth the wait for a table. Staff were most welcoming and couldn’t be more helpful. You can tell by how busy it gets that the food will be good. The atmosphere was lively but also cosy. Although the selection of food was limited, everybody...More

We had dinner here on a rainy Sunday evening. It was very quiet and we were seated and served quickly. The food is traditional style and very tasty, service was very good and quick. Pricing is great value and would definitely recommend this restaurant

The 'Gablerbrau' is the most important historical beer inn of the right-sided old town of Salzburg, completely renovated since 2013 and now in new splendor. The history of this place goes back to at least 1429. Austrian cuisine with a modern twist. Reasonable priced lunch offers varying daily from Monday to Friday. Great variety of local beers, including special sorts such as "Kaltenhausener Bernstein" from a brewery near Salzburg or the unfiltered "Gosser Zwickl". Striking interior with coloured glass paintings evoking a church-like atmosphere. In the "Wappenstube" significant woodcarvings. Popular beer garden in the newly designed Cornelius Reitsamer place with spectacular architectural accents (fountains). In addition to the time-honored part also a modern bar and restaurant area. In the basement guests appreciate the exclusive bar "L9", ideal for events with up to 120 people.
