Well this is a first timer for us. Not in my recent memory that we read about the place and called to book a table..and after we were seated we had to leave. It was embarrassing for us to do that but we had no...More

This was a delightful evening sitting outside and eating delicious food, with outstanding service. An easy stroll along the river from wherever you are staying.

Not sure what the hype is about. We had the "Menu Andreas Kaibinger" and regretted it. I have tried some of the beating tasting courses from NYC, Paris, Japan and Delhi and for a tasting menu I don't expect to like every course but when...More

This is a world class fine dining experience and better than many places in Vienna. I highly recommend the fish menu, particularly the steamed sea bass. Service is excellent and friendly.

Visited for dinner whilst on a business trip. The food was lovely, with nicely balanced flavours and beautiful presentation. The service was amazing, and their knowledge of wines and cheeses absolutely astounding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Wonderful food and atmosphere, nice attendants. I guess it was a full house at that night, luckily I already got reserved 2 months ago. A Turbot dish and a Scallop dish are tasty, many dishes are beautifully decorated with edibles.

Judging by previous feedback Esszimmer wasn’t going to disappoint! Regardless, some neat little touches demonstrated why this restaurant is brilliant, rather than just great. Firstly, congratulations to the patient and innovative staff who put two of our party at ease regarding allergies and food intolerances....More

The greeting is very friendly in Esszimmer. The room has curved yellow walls covered with lots of interesting art and the chairs are rich, soft lemon yellow leather. We visited last Saturday. There were a selection of menus available. We went for the Fish Menu...More

No, I wouldn`t recommend bringing small children here. I don`t remember if they have a vegetarian menu but you could probably send them an email or call to ask in advance.

It is very walkable, we stayed at the Sacher which is on the other side of the river and we took a lovely stroll. Not that far at all.

Description
The restaurant is called quite simply “esszimmer” (“dining room”). Anything more would be superfluous, says star chef Andreas Kaiblinger. After all, the “real adventure happens in the cooking pot.”
